Twilight Game - Play Games Online

Twilight Game -
Most of the sites I review have to do with making money online. I did have a request from a friend of mine to do a review on NetWinner. I found the site quite interesting and took my friend up on her offer. This site lets you play a casino type game over and over all day long. Here is what I found out about the site:

Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to play. You can live anywhere in the United States or Canada with the exception of Quebec. Registration is free and is necessary to play the game.

Payment Information
With NetWinner you can win Cash or Points. The points add up and you can then exchange them for prizes. When you win cash you will be notified by email although you can check your winnings at any time by logging in to the site and clicking My Account. All cash prizes are mailed directly to the address you provided in the form of a check. If you win over $600 you must check to see if there are any legal requirements you have to complete (such as submitting your social security number). Winnings under $600 are sent out within 30 days. Winnings over $600 will be sent within 10 business days of you signing and returning an affidavit.

How do the Points Work
You will receive 1,000 points instantly upon signing up. You can then win points when you play the jackpot or you can earn them. Referring friends brings in 100 points each plus 10% of their winnings. Keep in mind that if your friend wins $5000 you will receive $500. If your friend wins 5000 points you will receive 500 points. I think this is a great way to increase your chances of earning money and prizes. You can also complete offers, take surveys, etc. for extra points. You are required to reach 25,000 points before you can begin using them. I found this to be a little high, but I have not spent too much time on the site trying to see how fast or how long it would take to reach that amount.

Contact Information
NetWinner.com
105 E. Morehead Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

My Opinion
I checked with the BBB and there is no information on this company, which isn't necessarily bad. In this case no news is good news. That means no one has reported a complaint about them. The site is free to join so the only thing you really have to lose is your time. I played a few times and didn't win, but it only takes a minute to log in and try a couple of times per day. The site takes a little bit longer to load than I would like, but I would feel comfortable recommending this site to others.

Unlock and Jailbreak iPhone to enhance its efficiency

IPhone is one of the hot favorite gadgets in the market.  With days passing, it is making more and more people its fan. In spite of the fact that the device does exhibit certain limitations, it does not seem to budge from its leading position in people’s wish list. The reason behind this is the ability to unlock and jailbreak iPhone. The presence of these two fascinating techniques has changed the usage value of the device to an amazing extent. The manufacturer of the gadget probably did not give value to the need of such techniques thereby leaving the devices functionally incomplete for the user. Those who are already using the device or are familiar with its features are bound to be aware of the need to jailbreak the device.

The phone grants partial access to various features of the installed operating system.
Accordingly, to widen the arena of features it becomes essential to jailbreak and gain entry into the concealed attributes of the operating system.  It does not matter which model of the iPhone one owns, admission to the added features and applications is possible. Another factor often believed to be the major downside of the device is the single network it is locked with. To get rid of this barrier, the device needs to be unlocked. After the phone is unlocked and liberated from the single network issue, any SIM of any network can be used in the phone provided it is compatible to GSM device. When you unlock and jailbreak iPhone it simply boosts the device in terms of its functionality. It automatically becomes a device with more functional features.

Not only does the phone gets independence in terms of the connection used but also helps in getting freedom from hefty roaming bills. After all, why should you go on spending unnecessarily on the roaming when you can trim down the cost?  The device also becomes more cost-effective after getting unlocked. All those who have the iPhone would definitely want to enhance the device. A very important factor before you should opt to unlock and jailbreak iPhone is to ensure technique used is secure.

Damaging the device in the process of unlocking or jailbreaking is absolutely not worth it. Choosing the ideal method unfastens the path to make to iPhone even more preferred and at the same time it ensures its safety. The apt way is to take the help of the skilled experts in this job.

Igrice Igre - Online Flash Games

Igre -
Making kids games is fun and easy to do. You'll find everything you need at a department or craft store and at home. One quick and easy game to make requires a clean jar. After removing labels and adhesive from a medium size jar drop in items like a paper clip, dice, pen, button, small comb or other things. Put about 20 items in the jar then replace the lid. You can decorate the jar any way you'd like - stickers are an easy way to jazz up the jar. Purchase or make five or six notepads to use with the game.

If you're giving the game as a gift arrange jar with items, notepads, and pencils in a nice box. To play the game, one person dumps the items out on a table for 20 seconds. Then the items are placed back in the jar and the jar put out of sight (unless the jar is painted where players can not see items). Kids have a couple of minutes to write down as many items as they can remember. The child who has written the most items correctly wins.

Another great kids game to make, that's a little more complicated to make, is called "Two by Two". Players go around the board trying to collect two of every animal and take them to the ark. Start with a piece of cardboard, poster board, or plywood. Paint squares onto the board, in any manner you wish. Make the pathway wind around and around until it finally reaches the ark location. For the ark, purchase a wooden craft boat or make an ark from crafting foam, which is very inexpensive.

Purchase small novelty animals, in pairs, to place here and there on the board. Spread the animals around the board, don't place them on the board as a pair. You can make your game as fancy or as plain as you wish. Add silk bushes, at various places on the board, for animals to hide. Place other animals on a square, and when the player lands on that square, he picks up the animal. The play starts by one player throwing the dice and moving that amount of spaces. Write things on the squares like "Go to square 7" or "Lightning - go back to start" and similar instructions. When a player has gathered 2 of the same type of animal he will then drop them into the ark and will move ahead 5 spaces for collecting a pair. The first person to the ark isn't necessarily the winner. The first person to arrive at the ark receives 25 points but every player receives 10 points for each pair of animals he's collected. Add points at the end of the game to determine the winner.

Here's a quick card game for kids that you can make just from cardboard: On the cardboard square, write or draw the four aces, one on each corner. So, the corners should be: Ace of spades, Ace of diamonds, Ace of clubs, Ace of hearts. Now draw a huge circle in the center of the board and divide it into 10 sections. Mark the sections as follows: Two of spades, Ace of hearts, King of hearts, Queen of hearts, King & Queen of hearts, Jack of hearts, Ten of hearts, Nine-Ten-Jack of hearts, Three In A Row, and Out First. These will be winning spaces for some players. Draw a smaller circle in the center of the larger circle, for placement of the cards as they're played.

Start by using candy or pennies. Each person should have a supply and before the game starts, every player should put one candy or penny on each of the sections, including the four "Ace" corners. Pass out all the cards, with the dealer dealing himself two hands. The dealer then picks up the hand on his right and leaves the extra hand alone. Everyone looks at their cards and the dealer then lays the extra hand out, in front of him, for everyone to see. The Two of Spades begins the round, and whoever holds this card tosses it in the center of the board and picks up the candies on the Two of Spades section. Remember that the spare hand, or "dead hand" may contain the Two of Spades. If so, the person holding the Two of Clubs will lead out. If that card is also "dead" the person holding the Two of Diamonds will lead. If, again, that card is dead, the Two of Hearts is played. The chances of all four 2's being dead is astronomical but in case that happens begin by throwing out the Three of Spades, Three of Clubs, Three of Diamonds or Three of Hearts, in that order, depending upon if any of those are dead as well.

After the leading card has been thrown everyone will follow suit. For example, if the Two of Spades has been played by one of the players, the person with the Three of Spades will play next. The 4,5,6 of spades will play, and so forth. Eventually you'll arrive at a card that is in the dead hand. When that happens, the person who threw the last card will then throw their lowest card, of the opposite color. So, if the last person who played last threw a red card, he must now throw his lowest black card. As everyone follows suit they collect any candy or money from sections that are displayed upon the board. If a player throws the Jack of hearts, he collects the money or candy laying on that space. If a player throws the Queen of Hearts then the King of Hearts, he will pick up the candy on the King of Hearts space, the Queen of Hearts space, and the King-Queen Hearts space.

When someone runs out of cards the round is over and that player picks up the candy on the Out First space. By the time the game is finished there will be several sections still containing candy or pennies. Leave them lying and begin a new round by everyone placing a candy or penny on each section once again. This game is fun for older kids, teens and even parents. A different way to make this game is to use additional cards along with bowls. Arrange the bowls in a circle and everyone puts the candies or pennies in the bowls. Identify the bowls by placing a card in each bowl to signify which card will collect that bowl of rewards. Don't forget to place a bowl for the corner Aces. Make a piece of paper that says "Out First" for the person who runs out of cards first.

Make a unique memory game for kids by first purchasing a bag of assorted candy. Arrange small bowls, upside down, with a piece of candy under each. Write numbers one through twenty four on the bowls. Children choose one bowl and look under to see the candy. Now they choose a second bowl to see if they can find the match to that piece of candy. If they don't match, both bowls and candies are placed back into their original positions. If they are a match the two bowls are removed and the child receives the candy under each. The child then takes an additional turn. Play until all the candy has been matched. Or, play with coins to teach children to count money. Place two quarters under one bowl and five dimes under another, and so on. The child must count the money to see if it matches. Play until all matching coin sets are gotten.

Want to make the quickest game ever? Place a glass bottle on the floor and pull a chair up to it. Each player gets in the chair, on their knees, and tries to drop 10 clothes pins into the bottle. Rules should be set as to how low the person can place the clothes pin before dropping it, such as "not below the back of the chair" or "keep arm at shoulder length". The person who drops the most clothes pins into the jar wins.

Use a large piece of cardboard or a large cardboard box to make a bean bag tossing game. Draw a clown face, or another face, onto the cardboard. Cut out two eyes and a mouth. The cut-outs should be large enough for bean bags to be easily tossed through them. Place the box across the room or lean the piece of cardboard up against a wall. Make bean bags by using zipper lock bags to hold the beans or rice. Fill the bags only halfway full and let the air out before zipping shut. Decide how many points will be given for a mouth shot or for an eye shot. Each person throws six bags and then scores are tallied.

Use cardboard squares to make another bean bag game. Cut a dozen 12"x12" squares and align them, side by side, on the floor. Place number amounts on each square. Players stand way back and toss three bags then total the number amounts. The person with the highest number wins. Remember that central squares will be easier to land on than corner squares, so allow more points for corner and edge squares. There are many other games you can make for your kids and you'll probably come up with a few ideas on your own after making some of these.

Online Igre
Computer games have increased in popularity in the past couple of years and are likely to only increase more. Online games have also become increasingly popular. In most because there is such a wide variety of genres available and they can be obtained quickly and somewhat cheaply. There are quite a few websites that have started offering online games for purchase and it can be hard to figure out which one of the websites is the cheapest to purchase your online games from. Here are two websites that are strictly for finding online games and they offer two different ways to get online games for cheap.

Big Fish Games

Big Fish Games has everything from hidden objects, racing, fighting, and time management games. Big Fish Games offers a 60 minute trial for almost all of their games. All of the games that they have available for purchase are $19.99. This can get pricey if you like to play a lot of online games or if you tend to beat games pretty quickly. A couple positive things about Big Fish Games is that they have a new game available for download everyday and they have a large library of games to choose from. You can join the Big Fish Games club that allows you to purchase games as low as $6.99 as long as you purchase a certain number of games within a year. This is perfect for the serious online gamer. They also have kid's games to choose from as well.

Shockwave

Shockwave also has a large library of games to choose from with many different genres represented, including kids. Shockwave also offers 60 minute free trials. Shockwave only adds new games once a week and it is only about 3-5 games that are added. This can be a little frustrating for the online gamer that wants to look for the new games and has already played the majority of older games. However, they do have the extremely affordable Shockwave Unlimited. Shockwave Unlimited charges a small monthly fee that allows you to download any number of games and play them for unlimited amounts of time. The only thing you have to do is be connected to the Internet during startup and sign in with your username and password. Shockwave Unlimited allows you to leave the program whenever you choose so you do not have a long term commitment like you do with Big Fish Games.

These are my two favorite sites for downloading game. I use them all the time and they are great to use in a pinch when you find yourself bored and with some extra time. Time management and hidden object games are the ones that I find the most entertaining. Check these out today and you are bound to find an online game that will entertain you.

Green Living With Ample Green

Green Living
These green living tips will make your home an eco home in no time flat.

No. 1 Must-Do for the Eco Home and Overall Green Living

Change your light bulbs to Compact Florescent Light bulbs. For real green home improvement, you've got to do this in your eco home. No, they don't look as nice - but they are getting better.

According to CoolSavings.com, you'll save $80 a year in energy costs if you replace five most used light bulbs. It's like taking 1.2 million cars off the road for a year. That's 1.2 million cars, folks. So even if florescent lights wash out your complexion, do this green home improvement for the environment AND your checkbook.

No. 2 The Green Living Tip That You Never Think About

Put your television and accessories on one power strip. Do the same for the small appliances in the kitchen (coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, etc). Do the same thing for your computer and printer. Now flip that power strip switch to the OFF position when you go to bed or will be out of your home for several hours.

Okay, okay, if you're one of those people who actually notices the blinking time light on your video player or actually tapes shows in the middle of the night, or if you must wake up to fresh coffee, then YOU are excused from adding those appliances. Just turn off the rest for a green home improvement.

According to Yahoo, appliances in the stand-by mode account for 10% of your energy usage. Not acceptable for an eco home or practicing green living.

No. 3 Don't Forget to Dial Up This Green Living Tip

Don't leave cell phone chargers plugged in. For the same reasons as tip No. 2, this is a green living no-no in your eco home.

No. 4 Ceiling Fans are a Fashionable Green Home Improvement

I don't care what those designers on HGTV and Trading Spaces tell you, ceiling fans are a must for the trendy eco home and for green living. In the summer set your air condition temperature up in the upper 70's and turn your ceiling fan on (counter-clockwise) to circulate the air. Now, for a year round green home improvement, reverse everything for the winter months (including the blade rotation).

Note: Ceiling fans make your skin feel cooler but they don't cool down a room. If you aren't chillin' out your green living self under the ceiling fan, turn it off when you leave the room.

No. 5 Green Living It Up with Dinner

Declaring your kitchen the featured room in your eco home for a couple of days a week is a real green home improvement. Cook your dinner in the toaster oven or eat a couple of meals of non-cooked food per week. This is much easier and tastier than it sounds. In the heat of the summer what is better than a nice cold salad topped with leftover chicken breast or steak from a previous meal. Finish off the meal with watermelon or cantaloupe. Or make a refrigerator pie. For an added treat, chill your plates. You're not just green living in your eco home, you are fine living.

No. 6 Cloth Napkins are a Green Home Improvement for Your Eco Home

Complete your eco home dinner with cloth napkins. If you've never indulged in cloth napkins, you've missed a treat. Besides being a green home improvement, they make any dinner more special. While you're at it, use cloth towels for spills and clean ups. Yes, it might make the people selling Bounty very sad but dirty towels can just go in the eco home laundry with your cloth napkins and you'll be one more step on the path to green living.

No. 7 Green Living Goes Aqua Part 1

If you have a few dishes you need to wash in the sink from your green living dinner, pour the remaining soapy dishwater on your plants. Soapy water kills plant pests and it waters your plants.

No. 8 Green Living Goes Aqua Part 2

Turn off the water while brushing your teeth and shaving. According to Domino Magazine, the average spigot can put out three gallons of water per minute. If you brush for two minutes, that's six gallons of water saved. You'll probably save even more while shaving.

No. 9 Searching for More Green Home Improvements

Take your green living ideas out into the world and include your vehicle with this green home improvement idea. Try to combine errands whenever possible. Then use your car's GPS to plot the shortest route.

No. 10 Green Living is BYOB

BYOB - that's bring your own green living bag AND bottle. Splurge on one of those safe plastic water bottles. Purchase or make some cloth bags. And remember, your bags aren't just for groceries. Use your bag in every store. If you use your cloth bags everywhere, not just the grocery store, using them will become second nature to you.

The same goes for your water bottle. Rinse and refill it and place it in the fridge as soon as you bring it home each day. Use it around your eco home.

Practicing these green living tips will make help make your home an eco home and the savings will have your checkbook thanking you for the green home improvements.

Double Jogging Strollers Reviews

Double Jogging Strollers -
Sometimes walking down the street is too far for some pets. Or maybe you have a pet that doesn't quite fit the typical pet that you would walk, like a: cat, turtle, bird, rabbit, reptile, fish, hamster, you get the idea. The pet stroller maybe the answer for animal lovers who like to take their pets everywhere with them but can't find a carry bag that quite fits their style.

My teacup Chihuahua is a stubborn little thing. But then again I need to put my feet in her "paws" so to speak. Nala is barely 4 pounds. We have one large Golden Retriever Cali, one slightly larger than average Chihuahua Makana (about 12 lbs), and Nala who is always straggling behind. If you watch closely she must need to take five more steps then Makana and 50 more steps than Cali's one step stride.

If I walk the three dogs up and down our street, Cali pulls out in the front on her own leash. I have two leashes connected together so Makana and Nala can adjust to their own pace, usually behind me. One guy saw me walking the Chihuahuas and said, "Looks like they're walking you." My thought, well I am the alpha dog. Don't know what that says for Cali who I usually let off her leash because I'm walking too slowly for her and to keep pace with all three sets of paws at times is comical.

Here Are the Top Five Reasons I Would Use a Pet Stroller

1. Go on longer walks with Cali for exercise and be able to bring the two smaller ones. Then if Makana gets tired, she too can hop in the stroller with Nala and be outdoors enjoying the scenery without rebelling and plopping her little butt down and pulling at her leash, indicating to me that she's not going any further, thank you.

2. Little Girls Love to Push Strollers

Our eight year old wants to push the stroller. Better yet dressing up her dogs and putting them in a stroller.

3. It's Too Hot Outside

We live in Orlando Florida where the heat index this past summer was as high as 107 degrees. We couldn't go out in the day because of the heat and the dogs would have burned the pads of their paws. Even as the sun was setting, the heat was still with us. Having a stroller would allow me to take the dogs for a walk and if they were overcome by the heat, which I wouldn't allow to go that far, as Nala could just walk down the drive way and pull at her leash saying to me, "I'm not going."

4. Protection From Other Aanimals

Often times people don't have control of their own dogs and/or have them off leash and their dog runs over to my dogs and freak them out causing chaos. If I had them in a pet stroller, other dogs are less likely to run over to see what's in the stroller and try to sniff them.

5. Pets are People Too

The number five reason I would use a stroller, and possibly why the women down the street pushes her baby dog in one, because they are our children. Yes pet owners across the country love their pets and would do anything to keep them near to them. So if anything else, it would be a great way to take them into the parks and shopping and just walking further than our little pet paws will take them.

Side Note

I'd like to say that my husband and I had commented about the woman in our neighborhood who pushes her pet in the stroller. I can see her side, but a man most likely wouldn't be caught pushing a real dog in a pet stroller.

Double Jogging Strollers

Double Jogging Stroller Reviews
It is believed that the notorious outlaw Billy the Kid was actually a native from the East Coast. A popular theory is that Billy the Kid was born Henry McCarty in New York City in 1859. However, no real solid facts are known about Billy the Kid's early life, including his parents, family, birthdate, or birth place. Other than Billy the Kid, he was also known as William H. Bonney. The first mention of Billy the Kid's nickname was by a reporter for the Las Vegas Gazette in 1880.

In his early teens, Billy the Kid's family settled in Silver City, New Mexico. After Billy's mother died, he soon became involved in all sorts of illegal activities. He was a cattle rustler and horse thief. Billy the Kid was involved in more than a few gunfights. Billy was known for his quick temper and expert ability with a gun. Billy the Kid is rumored to have killed 21 men, but there is no proof of this.

By the 1870s, Billy the Kid was hanging around New Mexico. There were several land disputes going on in the United States territory at the time. Billy the Kid became involved in a dispute over land as well. Billy teamed up with John Tunstall in what would become known as the Lincoln County War. This war was a struggle for power between cattle ranchers and landowners.

The Lincoln County War was the result of several feuds amongst many different parties. But the most violent and famous feud was between Englishman John Tunstall and Irishman James Dolan. Both men wanted power and political control of Lincoln County. Dolan had the backing of the local sheriff and Billy the Kid's gang, which was led by Jesse Evans.

Billy the Kid started not getting along with members of his own gang, especially the leader Jesse Evans. Billy eventually switched sides after being offered a job by Tunstall. Billy the Kid was on good terms with members of the community and friends with Tunstall's employees. Billy the Kid started using the new name, William H. Bonney, and hoped for a new beginning as well.

The Lincoln County War hit the boiling point when deputies were sent to Tunstall's ranch to collect cattle as a result of embezzlement charges being made against Tunstall's business partner, Alex McSween. To avoid the capture of his horses, Tunstall herded the horses to nearby Lincoln, New Mexico. When the deputies arrrived at Tunstall's ranch, they sent a posse after Tunstall and his men. Most of the posse were members of Billy the Kid's former gang.

The posse caught up with the Tunstall group in a canyon. Tunstall was shot down in cold blood. The rest of the group found cover behind some large boulders. Warrants were issued for the killers. Billy the Kid was deputized by the constable to help serve the warrant.

However, Sheriff Brady refused to allow the men to be arrested. Instead, the sheriff arrested the constable and his deputies. They were all three jailed. The constable was released in a few hours, but Billy the Kid and the other deputy were held in jail for two days.

Soon after, a gang called the "Regulators" was formed. Billy the Kid was one of its first members. Their goal was to go after Dolan's men. The first members of Dolan's gang that were killed were Bill Morton and Frank Baker. They had surrendered to the Regulators, but were killed anyway. The Regulators believed that if they turned the two over to the sheriff, that there would be no punishment for their crimes. The next man that was killed was thought to be a spy. Then members of the Regulators, including Billy the Kid, set up an ambush. They killed Sheriff Brady and deputy George Hindmann. The last one of Dolan's boys to be shot and killed was Buckshot Roberts.

Dolan then enlisted the aid of the Fort Stanton army. The army surrounded Alex McSween's house. Several of the Regulators, including Billy the Kid, were there. The men were trapped. After a stand-off that lasted five days, the house was torched. The men started to panic, and Billy the Kid took control of the situation. Part of the men were to create a diversion by running toward Tunstall's store while the rest of the men escaped toward the river.

When nighttime came, the men attempted escape. Billy the Kid led his gang toward the store, while McSween and the rest of the group went toward the river. Gun shots started erupting from the store, so Billy the Kid and his men headed for the river as well. This would be the final battle in the Lincoln County War. When all was said and done, one member of the Dolan gang was killed. Four Regulators and Alex McSween were shot and killed.

Billy the Kid went on the run. A year later, Billy agreed to surrender and testify against the other parties involved in exchange for a pardon. When the pardon was slow in coming, Billy the Kid was on the run again.

Billy the Kid was captured and arrested in 1881. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to hanging in Lincoln, New Mexico. Out of all of the participants who participated in the Lincoln County War, Billy the Kid was the only one tried or convicted of any crimes.

Billy the Kid escaped by killing two deputies, Bob Olinger and James Bell. Months later, Billy the Kid was found, shot, and killed by Sheriff Pat Garrett. The western outlaw was just 21 years old. Billy the Kid was buried at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. A tombstone was placed there in the 1940s. It had been stolen three times before the gravesite was secured with a metal cage.

Sheriff Pat Garrett later wrote a book about the exploits of Billy the Kid, called The Authentic Life of Billy the Kid. It tells of Billy the Kid's exploits, including his part in the Lincoln County War. This book, as well as many movies, have helped immortalize Billy the Kid.

My Unlockiphone345.com Reviews : My Experience

I'm very very happy with service delivered from UnlockiPhone345.com.

Their team is professional and very quick in helping.

The motivation for providing this tutorial is nothing but to provide the quick and definitive guide to one of the most searched topics.

Here we will be discussing about the unlocking procedures of 3G/3Gs & 2G 3.1.3 using secure software with recent updates. It is interesting to note that you can easily unlock even the latest version of your I-Phone 2G 3.1.3 by following simple steps. You will be able to choose you network ultimately.

The best efforts have been put forward to represent and describe each and every step in a straight forward manner. This tutorial is really easy to use when compared to other ones in tools like Blackra1n. Furthermore, compared with Blackra1n, the procedure is longer but then allows to have a custom firmware already prepared that can be restored to your iPhone. So you don't need to worry about such a situation. You might have heard about similar procedures with other tools to unlock iPhone. But this procedure is somewhat lengthy when compared to the ones like Blackra. But it offers the custom firmware that can be restored your gadget as just mentioned above.

The program works fine on operating systems like windows XP, vista and MacOS also.

Please read the following steps carefully.

1. Sn0wbreeze is a beta tool that does only the jail break.

2. This first version of sn0wbreeze is all about using the simple mode, through which it is possible to install the Cydia package as well to be implemented in custom firmware we are going to create and it is also possible to change the boot logo and enable other options like in the case of PwnageTool from DevTeam. All you have to do is to choose simple mode and select install cydia and unlock.

3. Just download the firmware file to your PC and select it..

4. The program will search for the correct file and then the unlock process can be started soon. Now you have to work here based on some conditions. If you are prompted whether you want to activate or not, please click on NO button if your I-Phone 2G/3G/3GS is bought in Europe, and YES if your gadget is purchased from USA.

5. After the unlocking process, you can save your custom created firmware to your PC so that you can use it to restore your iPhone in future.

6. So the complex processes are over. They were not at all complicated as you just realized.

Just put your I-Phone in DFU mode and then turn it off. Press the Home and Power button for 10 seconds, leaving only the Power key and keep pressing the Home button for 10 seconds. This will make you enter into DFU mode.

7. So you have just unlocked your I-Phone and you are allowed to use it on any network.

It is always recommended to use the final version of the tool even though the beta one works well. And it is possible to get the tool from this Web site www.unlock-iphone.org

Step 3: Navigate to Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and paste iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148.bundle for iPhone 4, or iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a.bundle for iPhone 3GS in this location.

Step 4: Now navigate to Contents/Resources/CustomPackages/CydiaInstaller.bundle/ and here copy the info.plist file and then simply close this folder.

Step 5: Download iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone 4 or 3GS. Move this IPSW file to your desktop.

Step 6: Start PwnageTool in “Expert mode” and select your device:

Step 7: Browse for iOS 4.2.1 firmware for your device.

Step 8: Now before proceeding with the create-the-bundle process, make sure “Activate the Phone” option is unchecked under “General”, and “Cydia Installer” package is selected under “Cydia Packages” option. Once done, select “Build” to start creating custom 4.2.1 firmware file:

Step 9: PwnageTool will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.

Step 10: Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode:

  • Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds

  • Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds

  • You device should now be in DFU mode

Step 11: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.2.1 file. Select the required custom .ipsw file and click on “Open”.

Step 12: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs firmware 4.2.1 on your iPhone. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iPhone will restart automatically and you should now have a fully jailbroken iPhone 4 or 3GS, untethered on iOS 4.2.1.

Step 13: Once you have jailbroken your iPhone 4 or 3GS, you can safely unlock it on iOS 4.2.1 (on 01.59.00 baseband for iPhone 4 and 05.13.04 baseband for iPhone 3GS) using Ultrasn0w 1.2.

UPDATE 1: The link above of PwnageTool bundle for iPhone 4 and 3GS has been updated. All problems related to Cydia should now be fixed. Thanks to Nadeem97 for the heads up!

Australia

You're spoiled for choice in Oz, with three major telcos all technically suited to the iPhone. Coverage in urban areas is excellent, even several meters underground in Melbourne's train stations. If your iPhone is unlocked, getting a pre-pay SIM for it is as simple as walking into one of the carriers' shops and paying for one; activation is a simple process, and you'll be off and running in less than an hour. Unlike US carriers, none of the Australian carriers charge extra to tether your iPhone to a computer, but you'll chew through your data allowance relatively quickly if you do so.

Telstra and Optus both seem to have good coverage and pre-pay plans with reasonable data rates, but avoid Vodafone Australia like the plague. I used Vodafone AU on a recent trip to Melbourne, and the service was the worst I've ever experienced. During the week I spent in Melbourne, data performance on my iPhone 4 was abysmally slow, with even simple text-only webpages requiring multiple attempts to get them to load at all. Even something as simple as checking my Twitter stream could take as long as five minutes before anything successfully loaded. During the best of times (usually in the wee hours of the morning) performance was relatively snappy, but by midday I was experiencing sub-GPRS speeds even in areas with four or five bars of 3G coverage. Image-heavy webpages often refused to load at all, and I didn't even attempt to use any video services. Paradoxically, iPhone tethering to my wife's MacBook seemed to perform substantially better than browsing on the iPhone itself, but the speed was still subpar.

I'd initially put this poor service down to the fact that I was in Melbourne, a city of over 3 million people that's absolutely saturated with iPhone users, during both the Australian Open and Australia Day. But I'm not alone in my poor experience with Vodafone AU; a friend in Australia confirmed her service through Vodafone has deteriorated badly over the past year. Vodafone AU's data service has been so poor for so many that at least 9000 customers are preparing a class action lawsuit against the company.

If you haven't got the message by now, here it is simply stated. If you want to use your iPhone in Australia, here's the rough order of preference for your choices:

  1. Pre-pay on Telstra or Optus

  2. Turn off 3G data and hunt for WiFi

  3. Hook a telegraph machine up to your iPhone

  4. Use smoke signals

  5. International roaming

  6. Leave your iPhone at home

  7. Pre-pay on Vodafone

As of yet I have no personal experience with rural coverage in Oz, but if you're heading into the Outback, you'll probably want a satellite phone anyway. Vast swathes of Australia's interior have no cell coverage whatsoever, which isn't particularly surprising considering the climate, terrain, and low population. Coverage maps for all three major telcos show that the iPhone 4 should enjoy voice and data coverage throughout most of the populated areas of the country. However, because they don't support 900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA, the iPhone 3GS and 3G will have more limited coverage, with 3G data usually limited to only the metropolitan areas of the largest cities. If you still have an original iPhone, it should theoretically work on the EDGE networks in Australia, but there's no guarantees.

If you'd rather not deal with any of the carriers and want to leave 3G turned off for the duration of your trip, you'll find that free WiFi is nowhere near as widespread as it is in the US. When I visited Melbourne, I found that its central business district had a few places which offered free WiFi, but they were few and far between. According to my wife most McDonald's restaurants have free WiFi, but most other locations' WiFi is either locked down or for-pay.

This probably doesn't matter to you, but it's worth noting iPhone users are anything but precious or unique snowflakes in Australia. iPhone marketshare among smartphones is something like 80 percent in Australia, and the things are everywhere -- over 5 percent of all web browsing in Australia happens on an iOS device. If you expect to receive a lot of calls while in Australia, make sure you have a uniquely identifiable ringtone; I heard just about all of the built-in standard tones at some point during my stay, with "Old Phone" being a particularly popular choice.

The 3G iPad should work fine on any of Australia's networks, and it has the added benefit of not being locked to a specific carrier. The first-gen iPad will have the same limited data coverage as the iPhone 3GS or 3G due to its lack of support for 900 MHz 3G networks, but this is something I'd expect to change in the iPad 2 since the iPhone 4 gained support for this frequency last year.

I have less experience with Australia-specific apps than NZ-specific ones, but I wanted to give a shoutout to one app in particular that made my stay in Melbourne extremely pleasant: Metlink Melbourne. This app contains a searchable database of timetables and locations for all forms of public transport in Melbourne, and its search functionality is very powerful. You can pick any two spots on a map of the city, and Metlink will find multiple alternatives to get you from point A to point B, including trains, trams, and buses. Without this app, navigating through Melbourne's somewhat complex transit system would have been far more difficult; with Metlink, finding my way around Melbourne was easy as pie. Best part? The app is free, although you'll have to find a WiFi hotspot to download it since the app is over 20 MB.

Metlink helps make sense out of spaghetti

Speaking of free WiFi, Australia's largest cities have full-fledged Apple Stores which offer that service, and they're virtually identical to the ones in the US. The only differences? The stores are full of Australians instead of Americans, and they have much higher prices than in the States. If you're from the US and thinking of going on a shopping excursion in Oz, think again; prices are anywhere from 150 to 200 percent higher depending on the product. In an emergency you could probably get your iPhone or iPad serviced in an AU Apple Store, but getting an outright replacement might be difficult if you're an international iPhone user.

Look familiar?

Overall you'll find that using an iPhone in Australia is a pleasant experience (as long as you steer well clear of Vodafone) and probably not much different from using it in your home country. You'll be pretty astonished at the number of fellow iPhone users you'll see, though, even if you're coming from the States.

New Zealand

Much like Australia, getting an unlocked iPhone on one of New Zealand's networks is a relatively simple matter, though your choices are more expensive, more limited, and more complex. Because they lack support for 900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA, the iPhone 3GS and 3G are better-suited to Telecom XT's network, which works on 850 MHz. On Vodafone NZ, those older handsets will instead be on an agonizingly slow GPRS connection anywhere outside the central business district of major cities. In a drastic contrast to Vodafone AU, Vodafone NZ's service is far more robust, especially if you're on an iPhone 4. Because it works on 900 MHz, the iPhone 4 enjoys much better support on Vodafone's network, with 3G coverage in most well-populated areas. Most rural areas will still be on GPRS with Vodafone, but that's an improvement over Telecom, which often has no mobile broadband service at all in farther-flung areas of NZ. Don't even bother bringing a first-gen iPhone here, because it'll only work on GPRS, only on Vodafone, and even then it's finicky about connecting.

The iPhone 4 will work equally well on either telco, so which you choose depends where you'll be during your stay. If you'll spend more time in urban areas, go with Telecom, whose new XT network features improved speed compared to Vodafone. If you'll spend time outside the main cities, Vodafone has slightly slower but more extensive coverage. 2Degrees is also a good third choice if you're going to be in one of the major cities (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Queenstown), but you'll want to be very conservative with your data if you'll be spending any time outside of those limited areas. All networks allow iPhone tethering for free, but you'll want to keep an even more hawkish eye on your data consumption in NZ than in Australia.

Overall you'll find data speeds in New Zealand are highly dependent on your location. In Auckland and Wellington, coverage and speed are both quite good, often rivaling the speed of home broadband in less-populated parts of the country. In smaller cities with 3G coverage, speed varies widely; where I live, the speed generally hovers around 700 - 1000 Kbps for me. Speed on Vodafone's 900 MHz extended 3G network is generally equivalent to a very slow DSL connection in the States, while GPRS is basically wireless dialup. As far as I know, there aren't any EDGE networks in New Zealand at all, which is partly why bringing a first-gen iPhone here isn't such a good idea.

Free WiFi is all but nonexistent in New Zealand. Even most hotels and holiday parks charge by the minute to connect to their WiFi, and the rates are not cheap. You won't find any unsecured networks here, either, so forget about "wardriving" or anything similar. Data is such a costly commodity in NZ that people know better than to let passersby piggyback off their networks.

Like the iPhone 3GS and 3G, the first-gen 3G iPad is better-suited to Telecom's network because of antenna limitations. Again, this is something I'd expect to change for the iPad 2, which should theoretically have 900 MHz support and therefore enjoy the same network coverage as the iPhone 4 on Vodafone. Both Telecom and Vodafone offer data plans and micro-SIMs for the iPad, but the data allowances are nowhere near as generous (or generously priced) as they are in Australia (or, really, almost anywhere else in the world). Data in NZ doesn't come cheap.

There are no official Apple Stores anywhere in New Zealand, so if something goes wrong with your device, you are pretty much out of luck until you go back home. Theoretically you could possibly cajole either Vodafone or Telecom into sending your iPhone to Brightpoint, NZ's only official point of repair, but this is pretty unlikely if you're an international user. Even if you do convince them to repair your device, you'll likely pay all repair costs out of pocket and wait a week or more for it to get back to you. Bottom line: don't break your iPhone in NZ.

I've used a ton of NZ-specific iPhone apps since moving here, and they're well-suited to travelers looking for quick access to country-specific information while they're in the country. Four apps in particular will make it easy for travelers to find info on just about anything they might need to look for, and they're all free and available on the US App Store (if you're in another country, availability may vary).

1. Yellow NZ is the white and yellow pages for all of New Zealand condensed into one app. You can search by category, name, location, or nearby services. Not only will the app provide you with phone numbers and addresses, it'll also give you the option to call from within the app, location maps, links to directions, and even hours of operation for many businesses. It's a very powerful app, though it does require a data connection in order to work.

2. Find NZ is similar to Yellow in that it allows you to search for locations based on categories, but you can't search for individuals like you can in Yellow's white pages. Where Find NZ trumps Yellow is its offline database; even without a data connection, you can still search through a nationwide database of businesses and attractions with the same type of information included as Yellow NZ. If you're a savvy traveler and plan your trip far enough ahead, you could theoretically get away with not having a data connection the entire time you're in New Zealand if you won't be doing any email or web surfing. That's how powerful Find NZ's offline database functionality is.

3. menus.co.nz is a searchable database of NZ restaurants, complete with phone numbers, addresses, maps, opening hours, and even reviews in some cases. The app has a very intuitive interface that allows you to find locations close to you very quickly, or you can search anywhere in the country.

4. Flicks NZ contains a searchable database of both cinemas and films. The app will show you phone numbers and locations for the nearest cinemas (or those you search for), and it will also show you what's playing there, complete with session times. Searching by film offers descriptions, trailers, reviews, and session times at nearby cinemas.

Considering the low population, rugged terrain, and geographic isolation, New Zealand's networks are actually surprisingly advanced given the conditions. I griped about New Zealand's wireless infrastructure a couple years ago, but after seeing what US iPhone users have had to put up with from AT&T and what Australians get from Vodafone, my attitude has done a 180. Coverage is fairly extensive, especially on the North Island, and while the speeds aren't going to blow your hair back, you'll likely still find 3G perfectly serviceable if you have an iPhone 4. The big caveat here is that data plan caps in NZ are both relatively restrictive and quite expensive, so don't expect to do a lot of cheap, heavy web surfing while you're here. Then again, if you're just visiting New Zealand for a week or two, there are a lot better things to do than mess about on the internet anyway.

Hopefully this guide will help you out on your adventures in Oceania. Admittedly I have less experience with Australia's networks than New Zealand's, so I may have left something out. If you have any other questions about getting your iPhone or iPad online down here, let us know in the comments.

Unlock iPhone 3Gs

unlock iphone

This guide is for PCs running Windows and only for the iPhone 3g and 3gs. (Not for iPhone 4)

The iphone 3g/3gs 4.2.1 unlock became available to the public two weeks ago (all basebands). This guide will show you how to unlock your iPhone running 4.2.1. In order to succeed with this process you will need to follow the steps below one by one without skipping any of them. (You may think you know what your doing but the truth is that if you knew, then you wouldn't be here reading this guide). So, with all that said lets get right to it. First, make sure you have connected the iPhone (3g or 3gs) to the computer and then start with step one below.

This works on all basebands including 05.14.02 and 05.15.00 up to 4.2.1. Make sure to use firefox to download and save the ipsw file.

Step 1.
Download the 4.2.1 ipsw from here: http://iclarified.com/jailbreak/iphone3g/firmware.php (with firefox only) and save it to a location on you C drive that you will remember later.

Step 2.
Download redsn0w 0.9.6b1 from here: http://rapidshare.com/#!download|500l32|433785855|redsn0w_win_0.9.6b5.zip|11179 and install.

Step 3.
Run redsn0w, click the "Browse" button and go to the path where you saved the 4.2.1 file earlier and select it.

Step 4.
redsn0w will process the file and if all good it will continue, otherwise it will say "ipsw not recognized" and that is only if you dowloaded it with a different web browser than the one specified above (firefox). If all good, continue.

Step 5.
On this step make sure you mark the field where it says "install iPad baseband". What this does is that it will update the current baseband on your iPhone to an iPads baseband. This is necessarry to unlock your iPhone 3g and 3gs. Continue.

Step 6.
redsn0w will install the 4.2.1 on your iPhone, then respring. After it did so, open Cydia.

Step 7.
Go to "Manage", "Edit", then "Add" (top left) and enter this source http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com This will get ultrasn0w 1.2 to unlock your iPhone.

Step 8.
Install and run ultrasn0w 1.2, then respring.

Step 9.
Your iPhone should now be unlocked and work on any GSM network.

Step 10.
Enjoy !
